Could anyone help me please . I have never been on betfair and i dont understand how to make it work in my favour from betting Usually i make a bet and the horse always seems to drop in price , for example , say i picked a horse at 20/1 and put £5 on it , normally the horse i pick drops in price so is there a way i can take another bet so at least i get my money back if the horse losers and still get a profit if it does win ?. p.s. Please help me to understand how to do this.

Re: Betting Basically if you BACK a horse at say 21.00 (20/1) with say 1pt and it comes into 16.00 (15/1) you can LAY it by clicking on the pink side and then select the price you want to lay it at and lay it back at the requested price by laying just the amount you staked. That way you get your stake back at worse and if it wins you will make a small profit So basically: 1pt backed at 21.00 (you would get 21pts back) then lay 1pt at 16.00 (you would lose 16pts if it wins) BUT because you backed it at bigger odds earlier you still make a small profit. 21 - 16 = You would make 5pts profit if it had won Not really sure this is the best way to go about racing unless things go extremely short in running so it was still in my favour to find the value at the beginning, maybe it works for you but doesnt make sense to me maybe someone can explain it better than me!
