lucky_se7en
Twice a week me and my friends get together and play a £10 buy in tournament. We usually get around 8 players and 1st and 2nd get about 60 and 20 respectivley. Anyway I play a fair bit of poker usually at the casino, and do pretty well, hold my own and place fairly often (currently taking a break from online play, due to money) However my point is that at the casino I find myself doing far better than I do at the home games, I also find that I get annoyed at 'bad calls' in the home game. Is this because I am playing with my friends and they have a better read on me ? Or is this because of the less competitive enviroment ?. Just wondering if anyone has the same trouble ? SteveO
Re: Playing in home games I had a home game staurday night (7 of us) and we played from 7pm till 8am and had a break to watch the Shane Mosley fight. The game was super aggro and a terrible standard with crazy calls and moves and of course we were all pretty drunk. We've all played the game for years and just all try to muff eachother with absolute shite:lol A home game should be treated as a night of "fun" and any winnings as a bonus. That's how I treat it unless there's a hefty cash game going on.
