3.30 Pontefract Xpres maite is usually a consistent sort when hitting form and might be worth chancing on the back of a good CD 4th last time out, 1lb lower today and can just as easily make the running or sit behind and track the pace, probably better on AW but his handicap mark is 15lb lower on turf and last winning mark on turf was 6lb higher and looks well handicapped. 0.25pt e/w xpres maite 4.05 Pontefract Some sunny day was progressive towards the end of last year and could still be capable of more but concern over stable form puts me off for her going well fresh. Umverti could be an interesting runner back round here having won 2 of 3 starts here and has been dropped 3lb which now puts her just 3lb above last winning mark and should strip fitter for the run last time out. 0.25pt e/w umverti 5.15 Pontefract Waahej won very easily last time out over CD and gets into this unpenalised but more often than this can offer false hope and I might take a chance with Zapplamation who has returned this season in smashing form beating another superb in form sort in Blue Spinnaker and although a further 7lb could be tough he could still be capable of more and return to fast ground over this trip should suit. 1pt win zapplamation

Re: Pontefract 28th April 3.30 Wisemans Diamond EW Last win was over todays course and distance on good to firm back in September. Went up 6lbs for that win and is 5lbs higher today but the last two runs have been on ground that does not suit. Gets the fast ground today and if showing any improvement at all could go close at a decent price. 4.40 Pena Dorada Win Makes debut for new trainer today having failed to win in three maidens for Jarvis. Think the increased trip will suit and jockey makin could make all the differance.
