Horses and greyhounds names

Recommended Posts

Parts of horses and greyhounds names are sometimes repetitive: Ballymac, Droopys, Maldini, Honcho, Coolavanny and so on. Some of this names are difficult to understand. Can you give their explanation and also explain their popularity? And why are horses names sometimes written as a one solid word? Just for fun?

Re: Horses and greyhounds names Not sure of the greyhounds but i know horse names are not always called the same at home ''in yard etc'' and they are only allowed to use so many letters, i hope some other members can give you more info on your subject. I wonder what the longest ever name is or was for a horse, i remember one from years ago called - Hinaritelevideo always made me laugh hearing it.
