Super 14: Round 7

Recommended Posts

Highlanders win by 1-12 margin @ 3.00 bet365 The Lions may have been smashed by the Crusaders and Waratahs in their last two games, but they are a team that is not afraid to take it to the opposition, and if they had a bit more luck, they would have kept their games much closer. The Highlanders are not that good of a side to be giving the Lions a 15 point head start as they are a decent not not very good side. They have had a week to acclimatise back to NZ conditions after their tour of South Africa so they should be fresher for this game. The Lions have never won in NZ against the Highlanders and believe they will just miss out again as they look forward to going home. The last 5 games between these two sides has seen the winning margin being less than 10 points with the Highlanders winning the last 2 games at home by 9 points and 2 points. Believe that the home team will edge this one

Re: Super 14: Round 7 Brumbies win by 1-12 margin @ 2.80 centrebet Brumbies played well below their capabilities against the Blues last week and still only just missed out on winning, and now at home, expect them to have worked on some of their problems and beat the Chiefs who are coming off the bye. The Brumbies have a match winner in Giteau and he showed some glimpses of that ability in Auckland, but expect him to be very good tonight. They have a very good record against the Chiefs having won 9 out of 15 meetings and have only lost once to them at home. The Chiefs have a very good set of backs and if run the ball, then the Brumbies will need to man up pretty well, unlike they did last week. The return of Mortlock in midfield should eliminate some of the issues from last week. Where the Brumbies have an edge is in the forwards and expect them to use this drive through the Chiefs line. It may even bring in some of the Chiefs backs to help out, and this should tire them out, so they are less effective than usual. With 4 of the last 5 meetings being separated by no more than 6 points, expect another close game between two very good teams. But the Brumbies are hard to beat at home and believe they will have enough to edge out the Chiefs
