EXPOSED: Exposed runners not all bad

Recommended Posts

Exposed plodders have run some massive races in the Cheltenham Gold Cup. 2010 Mon Mome, Grand National winner, 3rd 2009 My Will, placed twice in Whitbread, 5th 2008 Halcon Genelardais, Welsh National winner, 4th 2007 2006 Hedgehunter, Grand National winner, 2nd 2005 Take The Stand, Welsh National faller (previously placed)/Summer National winner, 2nd 2004 Sir Rembrandt, Welsh National runner-up, 2nd 2003 2002 Commanche Court, Irish National regular (winner previously), 2nd 2001 no race 2000 1999 Go Ballistic, previously contested Whitbread and Grand National, 2nd 1998 Cool Dawn, Irish National 3rd, WON 1997 1996 Young Hustler, Grand National regular, 5th 1995 Master Oats, Welsh Nation winner/fell in previous Grand National, WON Miinnehoma, Grand National winner, 3rd Ok, it's not that surprising, such is the stamina test of the Gold Cup. However many think that the Gold Cup is a stepping stone for Nationals, the reverse is also true. With w/o betting as big as it's ever been it makes for interesting reading. Would also apply to spread betting and match bets - especially considering the market usually overlooks them in favour of sexier types.
