3.55 Curragh The first group race of the season and the favourite looks solid but in Paddy's current mark there looks plenty of e/w value. The fav romped home in a Galway maiden and followed that up with a 2lengths defeat to Lillie Langtry in group 2 race. Pollen is 2 from 3 over CD and relishes it round here and will relish the soft ground and is certainly worth interest back over a mile after some solid efforts in listed company over 7f and 16/1 looks massive. My other interest is the english raider Dascombe has brought over Danehills pearl and his maiden runner and will appreciate the softer irish turf and was last seen causing a 50/1 shock in italy in listed company and if can improve on that back over this slightly shorter trip should go well (maiden was won over 7f in very easy fashion) 0.5pt e/w Pollen 16/1 pp

Re: Best bet of the day Sunday 21st Locked Inthepocket 4.45 Carlisle (EACH WAY) 12-1 Bet365 BOG Consistent without being a winner over hurdles but quite highly regarded and a lot to like about its last run when making smooth headway to finish 2nd over 20f on heavy ground. One with potential rather than proven experience and making chase debut but some of the rivals overall form is poor and lacks consistency. Carries a nice weight of 10-6 while top weight carries 11-12 and jockey has 20% strike rate over last 14 days while trainer has only had 2 runners. Cost 42,000 at the sales and they'll be hoping to recoup some of that now the horse goes over fences. Could be one to follow for next season.
