Is Richard Johnson finished as a Jockey of Note

Is it just me or has anybody else noticed the paucity of Johnson's riding skills. He seems to have lost all confidence and only seems to win or place if the horse literally carries him over the line. I know Phillip Hobbs' horses could be in better form, but his Conditionals and other Stable Jockeys seem to reach the best position on the horses they ride. Johnson is draining the pockets of punters, because you invariably back horses with apparent potential and this weak jockey seems to hinder their progress. AP McCoy isn't banging in the winners at the moment but you could never question his riding skills. Johnson is overrated and should either go back to riding school or stood down to save the Punters from this 'shock-Jock'.

Re: Is Richard Johnson finished as a Jockey of Note you've come to the right place if you want to have a moan about Richard Johnson, a couple of the guys on here hate him with a passion. :lol I dont have a problem with the guy myself but I dont pay that much interest in the jumps so have never really spent much time looking at him. He certainly has an impressive CV and to be second in the leading jockey list behind AP is nothing to be ashamed of so he must have some ability. Maybe he is short of confidence at the minute? I dont envy these jockeys at all, the wasting has obvious mental as well as physical side effects (more so on the flat for the eight stoners admittedly) and the NH boys risk their life whenever they jump into the plate. They get my respect for that.
