Re: Carlisle Mon 22nd Feb Just looking at the one race 3.00 Hcap hurdle 2m 1f Soft (GS in places) Glingerbank Carries top weight and seems a consistent performer having finished in the frame 8 times out of 15 runs. Back over hurdles this season after chasing last season. Has a course win here over 2m and does stay further. 6lb higher than best win. Wouldnt want it too soft. Sam Lord With Alan King last season and now with James Moffat, was tried over further LTO and only went down a neck and still looks weighted in this grade to go close. I would be worried if it got too soft. Along the Nile Dual flat/jumps peformer, last win was 2 years ago off 113, so only 2lb higher in this race. Does prefer faster ground so not sure it will get that, its form on any ground with soft in the title is 1 win in 23 races. Seems to like Musselburgh with 3 wins there. Nelson du Ronceray This one does like soft ground, and is a 2m horse, so the 1f extra could be a slight worry, this one seems to be an Ayr specialist with 3 wins at the track. Any attempt over 2m has resulted in a defesat. Root cause Hasn't ran since October which is a concern, best run was probably its last race which was over C/D and first for the trainer. Best on Good to soft. Hi Dancer Best form shown was 2 years ago, won off 113 7lb higher than mark in this race, however was claimer ridden in that race getting 7lb, McCoy picks up the ride this time, Ground and trip should be ok, and may be worth a second look with McCoy up top. Braveheart move Will need to improve a lot to figure in this and McCoy possibly could have ridden it. Only 3 runs over hurdles and 2nd LTO, this is a step into the unknown in a higher class. Was once considered a Derby hopeful. Also Jo Harry Haynes keeps the ride and finished 2nd LTO but that was 75 days ago. Trainer going ok at present and Bobs Dream won for the stable 3 days ago. Off a tempting weight. Nevsky bridge Won in this class 3 years ago and does like the trip, another that gets in off a tempting low weight. Has run here 4 times though and well beaten each time. Trainer needs a win also. A difficult race to assess this one to be honest as much will depend on the final ground conditions my tissue Braveheart Move 20% (4/1) Also Jo 16% (5/1) Glingerbank 16% (5/1) Sam Lord 13% (13/2) Hi Dancer 13% (13/2) Nelso Du Ronceray 12% (7.4/1) Nevsky Bridge 10% (9/1) Root cause 4% (20/1) Along the nile 2% (49/1) 106% THIS TIME ! Will see what BF are offering later to see if i can strike a bet as i wont be on line tomorrow Also Jo is probably the one i think could win this and be a nice price. mccoy on hi dancer is possibly another.
