3.40 Meydan Go dolphin continue in good form in Dubai and Emirates Champion has to hold a solid chance, lightly raced and won a handicap off a mark of 85 in summer up 11lb for that effort and ran with extreme credit last time out to get beat by another useful godolphin horse (joint favs!) runs off same mark today and looks a tough cookie to crack here as a totally unexposed runner. 1pt win Emirates Champion 4.15 Meydan Leahurst was a clear cut winner 3 weeks ago on this surface over 7f, lightly raced and 7lb rise may not be enough to stop this progressive gelding picking up another smart handicap before clearly going on to group company. 1pt win Leahurst

Re: Meydan 18th Feb 4.15 Meydan STAR CROWNED ran as well as could have been expected at the weights when fifth to War Artist over course and distance in a Group 3 last time out. Prior to that he had gone close in a conditions race, also over track and trip, when showing good early speed - something that may work to his advantage here. Despite the fact he is marooned out in box 11, he has sufficient yardage to work himself into a position before they swing left-handed into the home straight and he looks a little overpriced at his current 18/1 in my opinion . Suggested bet: 18/1 Blue Square, 0.5 pt EW (3 places, 1/4 odds).
