3.10 Southwell: Blazing Bailey 1pt place lay I have two in the field that I feel can beat this one in the fave (my BBOTD) Burton Port and this horse's last time out conqueror The Sliotar. There appears no reason why the horse should be able to reverse form with the last named on same terms (despite it being very close) under similar conditions and I don't think either can beat the fave Burton Port, so this one has to go down as a lay and as I have two against I am happy to lay for a place as I think that 5/2 is too tight for this horse.

Re: Lay of the day 8th Feb 3.30 Wolverhampton Kipchak 1pt place lay Won a claimer last time out at Lingfield, where he had a reasonable chance of winning given the weight he was alloted that day. Back in handicap company today, his OR could hold him back as he is carrying 5lb more than his highest winning rating on the AW and would need to improve a lot today. His form overall looks a bit scrappy and inconsistent while running in handicaps and he may be better suited to sellers and claimers.
