Cheltenham Portfolio - Act One

Over the next 40 or so days I will bid to create a ante-post portfolio for the Cheltenham Festival 2010. Some selections may prove wide of the mark and unrealistic but hopefully there will also be a couple of good priced winners to be had. Arkle Trophy Sports Line - 1pt 16/1 widely available Brought on very quietly over hurldes last year missing all the big Festivals. Plenty of hype surrounding this horse ahead of it's chasing debut and delivered at Navan. Heavily supported ahead of Irish Arkle last weekend, ended up going off 2/1 fav, before helping to set a strong pace(with other two who made running beaten a further 20 lengths) and was mugged somewhat by a decent horse that was held-up and given a well executed ride off a strong pace. I am unsure if The Arkle even features in Willie Mullins plans for this horse. I think it could be strongly suited by further in time but at the current prices I think it is worth a small-punt in an open event.
