In the last two years the west has won the All-Star game by margins of 10 and 15 respecitively. There is no doubt that the West does seem to have the better players, especially in positions of forward and centre. The West starters consist of, Garnett, Duncan, Ming, Bryant and Steve Francis, with the likes of Nowitzki, Stojakovic and Shaq as reserves. The East starters consist of, Carter, O'neal, Iverson, McGrady and Ben Wallace, with the likes of Kidd, K-Mart and Artest on the bench. Personally it appears that there is a huge difference in scoring ability between these two sides, in favour of the West. It would seem that the East has the advantage when it comes to atheletic ability, but you got to ask the question, how do you start Shaq, Duncan and KG all at once - impossible! So I guess that's why the bookmakers have set the odds at 1.40 for the West to win - Gamebookers. Haven't ever watched one of these games so this will be my first, but the West do look a very good chance to win this. As much as odds of 3.00 look very nice, does the East stand any sought of chance in this game?:cheers

Re: NBA All-Stars Game. The All Star weekend is always great to watch and mainly it's because they play little to no defense and so you will see your share of dunks and fast breaks by both squads. They do want to win however and so when it counts most if it is close they will play tough. This game is taken serious by the players. As far as betting on the classic, I see it as a pass. Too many variables and intagiables that can make a differnce in a agme like this to put any money on it. I use this weekend as a test to take on the bookmakers in college basketball. With no NBA they have to be sharp on the college basketball action as they will see alot of money go their way this weekend. It also is a great time to dig deep and become prepared for the big tournament in March. Carmine
