How long does it take to get Good at poker?

I want to play poker so that I could get some good returns. I am ready to devote time before investing. How can I learn to use the position, calculating odds and outs, guessing ppls hands accurately, and other important things so as to win consistently on low limits? Any suggestions ?

Hmmm... maybe read the post of an PL who had the same question a while back and who I think was developing himself very well untill he was struck with health issues at the end of this year.
