2.10 Wolverhampton Glover has got his string in fine fettle at the moment and he runs Thunderstruck in this amateur event he has been in fine form of late and run his best race yet when just touched off by crazy chris who was a handicap debutant that day and they both pulled well clear of 3rd and is up another 4lb but one of the more experienced jockeys on board and good draw in stall 1 should go well from the front again 1pt win thunderstruck 4.40 Wolverhampton I was certain afrcan cheetah was well handicapped throughout the turf season but failed to fulfill what I thought of him and his since left johnston’s and would like to see something now in new hands and all weather debut. Fandango boy comes over from Ireland having run out 2 good success’s at dundalk and now up another 9lb but irish horses are renowned for coming over to our aw tracks and taking the pee at our handicap ratings they tend to be several pound ahead of a british handicapper. 1pt win fandango boy

Re: Wolverhampton 7th Dec (AW) 2.40 Wolverhampton Colonel Sherman may be able to spring an upset in division two of the amateurs handicap. He was claimed out of Luke Dace's yard back in April and hasn't shown anything in four runs for the yard to date. He has probably been bought with a view to going hurdling, but I think he is overpriced and was useful on his day on the AW last year. He hacked up at Lingfield off 54 in January and only went down by a neck off 64 at the same track when attempting to follow up. Today he races off 61 so looks handicapped to have a chance. If you discount his first two runs for the yard on the basis of him being a better animal away from turf, ignore his course and distance run on the 9th of November on the grounds of fitness and take into consideration he was bumped at the start at Southwell when last seen (on a surface he may not actually act on anyway) then I think you can make a case for this one at 33/1.
