Australian A-League: December 4th-6th

Recommended Posts

Melbourne @ 2.55 pinnacle Wellington may be undefeated in their last 5 games at home but they have only won 2 of these and drawn the other 3 games. They are coming off a 4-1 loss to Brisbane and lost Muscat to a red card in the game, and he is out of their defence for this game. Like the look of this red hot Melbourne side to exploit his loss in the backline, after they thumped Gold Coast 4-0. Melbourne have won their last 4 games on the road, scoring 9 goals and conceding 4 goals, and with the form of Thompson, Hernandez and Kruse, there are goals in this team.

Re: Australian A-League: December 4th-6th Adelaide @ 2.21 pinnacle Even though Newcastle surprised Sydney with an attacking 3-4-3 formation to start the game and they went on to win 3-1, doubt that they will have the same success against Adelaide. Adelaide have hit bottom while Newcastle are only 2 points off them. Adelaide's coach Vidmar has come out publicly to aplogise to the fans so expect the home team to lift while Newcastle's coach Culina will be confident, it does not escape that they are an ordinary side that surprised Sydney. Adelaide creates the chances but has struggled to score them, and look to a renewed focus from their strikers otherwise their season will end very soon. Believe that Newcastle's win was a one off and with Adelaide desperate for a win, they will look to climb off the bottom

Re: Australian A-League: December 4th-6th 3 Pts on Melbourne WIN @ 2.25 (TAB) Anything over evens is great value for Melbourne with the current form they are in. Matthew Kemp is an important player in terms of melbourne's style, and their was some suggestion that he would miss through injury, but my mail is that he will start. Melbourne should be too strong for a Wellington team that was very unimpressive against Brisbane last week. Melbourne have also been the premier side away from ome this year. Prediction: Melbourne 2-1 1 Pt on Adelaide - Newcastle result: DRAW @ 3.30 (TAB) Adelaide will be desperate to turn their form around, whilst Newcastle's confidence will be high on the back of their big win against Sydney last week. They have a very tactically astute manager in Branko Culina, who seems to be very adept in negotiating the toughest away trips in the A-league. Because of the tense situation surrounding Adelaide and the pressure their manager Aurelio Vidmar is under, i predict this one to be a low scoring, tight affair. With the draw the most likely outcome.:ok Prediction: 1-1 GL:hope

Re: Australian A-League: December 4th-6th Also, it's just been confirmed Greenacre is out for the Phoenix. A big loss for them. Their line up.

Paston Hearfield, Dura, Siggy, Lochy Lia, Brown, Bertos, Daniel, Caceres Ifill
Muscat is also missing at right back through suspension. Hearfield is definitely not a full back, so i can see Melbourne getting some joy down the left flank.

Re: Australian A-League: December 4th-6th Melbourne :@ Stupid send off that gave them no chance to win the game yet the referee misses a swinging punch a few minutes earlier that would have been a red against Wellington as well as a penalty kick for Melbourne Adelaide :@ This loss confirms it that Adelaide are really bad at the moment - could be the coach who gets the bullet

Re: Australian A-League: December 4th-6th Sydney - North Queensland over 2.5 @ 2.12 pinnacle Sydney will look to bounce back with a win here and even though they look going forward they are still vulnerable at the back. North Queensland are similar in that they have the likes of Fowler who can score but also are prone to defnesive lapses. With neither team in good form, looking to their strikers to get amongst the goals against these defences that struggle to keep a clean sheet Gold Coast - Central Coast over 2.5 @ 2.05 pinnacle Gold Coast are another team looking to improve on last weeks effort and expect a better performance than the 4-0 thumping that Melbourne gave them. They will have a hard time doing so against a Central Coast side that has won 4 of its last 5 games on the road with the last 4 games all going over as they have been scored 13 goals in these 4 away games. While doubtful that GC can stop them scoring, expect Smeltz and Culina back on home turf to also create and score something. Expect GC to come out to prove something here as second place is up for grabs while CC will look to counter which has proved so effective for them this year.

Re: Australian A-League: December 4th-6th johno: problem with Adelaide was that their main players were underperforming and the standard they used to play with has fallen away. They created chances but could not score. To lose at home to a Newcastle side that i do not rate shows how badly they are going.

they just don't have anyone that can score goals, plus their manager is a nutter.

Re: Australian A-League: December 4th-6th I'll just do my pick's quickly. Short explanations. 2 Pts Perth Glory WIN @ 2.30 (Bet365) Team news: Brisbane will be missing Mckay in midfield, as well as Reinaldo up front. All indications are that they will play a 3-5-2 again. Perth Glory will be missing influential defender Chris Coyne. My reasoning for this bet is mainly because of Perth's strong form at home, beating Sydney at home 2-0 last time out. Brisbane are very hard to predict under Postecouglou atm though. Prediction: Perth 2-1 Brisbane 1 Pt on Over 2.5 @ 2.05 (Bet365) I'm basing this bet on the pre game comments of Ange Postecouglou. The Brisbane roar coach, indicated a very attacking mindset. 1 Pts on Tommy Oar First Goalscorer @ 19 (Bet365) The youngster has been in top form lately. He has a lethal left boot, and $19 is tremendous value. He was at $7 with the TAB. GL

Re: Australian A-League: December 4th-6th Really dissapointed with that game. First perth conceded a very soft goal, but then after they equalise the game was there for the taking. Only for Griffin McMaster, one of the worst keepers going around to pull that save out of nowhere.:@
