Hi all. Was thinking to find the crappest Newspaper tipster around, and decide anything they backed I would lay. I've found http://www.besttipping.com/?action=newstips&method=tipster&id=15 which is Postdata (racing post). Backing their selections for the past 350 days at level stakes at £50, I would be down over £50000. If I layed the tipster selections, would this implie I would EARN roughly the amount that I would have lost if backed?

Heya, Heres my 2p and some quick back of envelope calcs: The graph that is on that tipping site shows a profit of 875 points. There is a Postdata pick in every race: assume more than 20 races per day and you will average a bit more than 1 pt/day in costs at 5% commission. So total profit over 1 year period will be about 875 - 450 (conservative estimate) which leaves 425 points, or a profit of £21250. Not too bad for just 50 quid stakes. Profitability will rise significantly as your commission rate goes down. :ok
