Tail end of season crap or just me?

Now this is my first year taking horse racing seriously and during the summer months I found finding betting opportunities reasonably easy but last week or so really struggle to find anything on the turf is it just me or are some of you other guys in agreement? I mean my dad tells me october results are very dodgy, also confrmed this week by a report in racingpost about the biggest placepot payouts all top 3 have been in october. And a bloke in bookies yesterday turn round and said only idiots bet on flat this time of year is he right?

Re: Tail end of season crap or just me? Interesting topic this as Wayne (Fintron) met up for a beer on thursday and i was saying that you have to back out of form trainers this time of year what ever the price. as sometimes a big price winner pays for their entire year.
