gooner steve
Playing live in a pub with friends last night and this situation came up; 4 handed at this stage. Player A, 3rd highest chipstack. Dealer, 2nd highest chipstack. SB, chip leader. BB, short stack. BB already all-in, everyone else goes all-in. SB wins hand with flush (and wins this game), player A has second best hand with trip Kings but has less chips than Dealer. No problem with who won the game but there was cash for second place. I would say player A gets second, am I right? Many thanks, GS
Chapman
Re: Everyone All-in but who got second place? I'm not sure but if everyone was all in and the big stack won the hand to end the game, then I'd assume the 2nd highest stack would be the 2nd placed finisher as he had the the 2nd highest stack when the chips went in. The fact that player A's hand was better than the dealers is not relevent because neither won the pot, I think. :unsure
staffy
Re: Everyone All-in but who got second place? Who ever had 2nd higher stack so the dealer would finish second. Its irrelevant who finished 2nd in the hand. They lost the hand so lost their chips.
gooner steve
Re: Everyone All-in but who got second place? Thanks for the replies. We have a rule in our games and that is whoever is not involved in the hand makes the decision. Second place was split between Player A and Dealer. Guess what, I was dealer :wall
