bowles10
4.55 Newmarket - BOUNTY BOX (6f, Cl2, G/F) Was mightily impressed by this animal last time out when landing a Newmarket 16 runner Heritage handicap over 6f. I think the horse CAN improve by another 7lb to win this & Chris Wall is excellent at placing his horses. The horse has never finished worse than 4th in its 6 runs to date. Seems to handle any ground as by sire Bahamian Bounty. Looks like it will be around 2/1 but will wait for the SP
chris34
Re: Best bet of the day Thurs 1st Oct With bowles here ;) 4.55 Newmarket Bouty box has looked extremely classy last 2 times out and is only 6lb higher today after a cosy win over CD a month or so ago, I feel potentially this horse has a the scope to go onto group company Durcan rides again today. 1pt win bounty box
markmywords
Re: Best bet of the day Thurs 1st Oct 3.45Newmarket Swilly Ferry Won himself £183,500 LTO when stepped up to 7F at Doncaster on GF with a good strong late finish. Has his Official rating going from 86 to 97 for it and stepping up in class. But I reckon he is a improving number and would like to go EW. Spooner
Re: Best bet of the day Thurs 1st Oct New 15:10 - Manifest 1pt win Cecil's horse hacked up LTO to break his maiden tag and is good for another win here, perhaps hard to judge how good that win was LTO but he looked a fair sort and with likely more improvement here. Steps up another two furlongs and paired with Queally who's on a good run they look good for the win.
Fatz
Re: Best bet of the day Thurs 1st Oct 21.15 Wolv Chief Red Cloud 1pt win Still fairly un-exposed having raced just eight times. Has ran well enough on last two starts, both on the all weather, to suguest that he can add to his sole win to date this coming autumn/winter. Time before last was drawn 13 of 13, raced wide and finished well over an in-adaquate 6f and last time saw no daylight until too late but ran on and wasn't beaten that far. Drawn wide again today and may have to drop in behind but should go close providing he can find a clean passage through.
palaceman
Re: Best bet of the day Thurs 1st Oct Oh dear. I come on here to post a lay, only to find the first two posters on the thread - both of whom I respect - have tipped her to win. Still, must stick to my guns. Newmarket 4:55. Bounty Box. 1 point LAY She is on a hat-trick, with both the last two wins being over this course and distance, which will help deflate the price on this favourite. She is defintely a tough little filly. However, I have some doubts about how much value should be attributed to that last success, which was quite a battle. The horse that came third has since won (in rather different conditions) but the second and fourth have let the form down badly. The selection is up a further 7lbs for that success, to go with the 7lbs increase from the time before - a total increase of a whole stone in weight from the time of that first success is quite a hike. Whilst she is clearly in with a chance, in a race in which you can make some sort of case for a number of the others, I feel there is decent value in the lay. Pumpit
Re: Best bet of the day Thurs 1st Oct Wolverhampton 6.15pm Al Khimiya 1pt lay Horse very short in the market imv for this race given that LTO won at 15/2 SP in a race that not much got into imv. Todays race will be a diff game with 3 others looking for the win and getting it with a few coming into this race late on to snatch the win, laying. BillyHills
Re: Best bet of the day Thurs 1st Oct 405 Ayr: Wells Lyrical This horse is ultra consistant and looks to have found a good opportunity here in a lower grade and should get a much deserved win. A gallant second in the Plate race at Newcastle was followed by a close third in a messy Class 1 race at Sandown where he had trouble in running. Shoulders top weight and if he makes this a real test of stamina he can outbattle them close home.
wizzkid walter
Re: Best bet of the day Thurs 1st Oct 2:45 Goodwood - Alhaque - Back This looks a gilt-edged opportunity for him to get off the mark. Only really 1 horse in opposition based on form. I think he'll get the job done today and go on from here, and all in all odds on price looks fair 1pt win
fintron
Re: Best bet of the day Thurs 1st Oct 4.20 Newmarket Dandy Man - lay Was decent sprinter when with Tracey Collins but has lost his way a bit in recent times since joining Godolphin and sole win for the boys in blue came in weak three runner conditions race at Leicester up against Peace Offering and Anguz Newz. He's got more genuine Group and listed level horses to beat today and although I think he could make it into the frame I think Inxile and Spin Cycle could beat him home, and with possible, but unpredictable, improvement feasible from 2008 Coventry fourth Himalaya, I'll have all of those onside and Dandy Man as a BBOTD lay if staying at current price of 7/2. Sheerluck Holmes
Re: Best bet of the day Thurs 1st Oct 2009-10-01 WOLVERHAMPTON (AW) 8:15 1m 1f - Bet Cambridgeshire Handicap - Betdaq Handicap (Class 4) A chance is taken on DREAM OF FORTUNE (don't we all!) in this class 4 handicap. He had three races over the summer, two on the turf and one over the hurdles and didn't really impress, but thats not surprising as all the best work (including 4 wins) has been done on the AW. Indeed, this gelding was running well until the handicapper caught up with him on his last appeareance on the sand at Kempton. Before then he'd finished 2nd in a Class 3 over C&D after winning an identical event here. He was off 77 that day and although he has a mark of 80 today, the jockey takes off 5lb they're effectively 2lb better off than that day. Falbrav
Re: Best bet of the day Thurs 1st Oct FLOW CHART 2.20 Ayr. 0.5 points each way. Best form gives him chances of going close and would be open to finding a little improvement too. The 5f trip shouldn't be any cause for concern and the ground's fine. The race should be run at a fast enough early pace for him, so all in all has every chance of a win.
Lucky-15
Re: Best bet of the day Thurs 1st Oct 15.45 Newmarket Khattaab hacked up on his debut at haydock on similar going winning by 4 lengths overturning a M Johnston hotpot in the process. Running on well at the end looking like he will get 7f and although its a big step up in class he's got some good entries and looks an excellent prospect, 9/2 could look like a big price if he runs to form.;) 1 pt win
Verisimilitude
Re: Best bet of the day Thurs 1st Oct SAN DIEGO PRINCE 2.55 Ayr. 0.5 points each way. Started to run into form and gets into this race off a mark of 54 (1lb lower than last time). The trip and going would suit and he should get the race run to suit. So with Johnny Egan good enough to steer the thing, he'd be the bet for me today.

Trotter
Re: Best bet of the day Thurs 1st Oct Newm 4.55 - Bounty Box - win Going for a 3-timer in CD handicaps. Is rising up the weights but is lightly raced and looks a progressive type. Has already proved herself in all-aged company and against the colts, in class 2, on good to firm going and over this CD Main market rival is Vittoria who looked very impressive last time but that was a fillies only race and of lower quality than the one won by Bounty Box. stewartd14
Re: Best bet of the day Thurs 1st Oct 4.40 Ayr DARING DREAM Ran a cracker for Jim Goldie last timeout when winning on soft ground, but he is versatile, and this going wont be a big issue. An improving sort, and Jim Goldie's horses are running well. Jockey booking suggests this is the stable's no.1, and at 14/1, he is worth a punt. south_eastern_ram
Re: Best bet of the day Thurs 1st Oct 5.50 Ayr - Trade Price E/W Trade Price is currently at 25/1 with most firms so the bookies havent gave him much of a chance. Has only had 1 place in 10 career starts and that came in a 7f class 6 on the good to firm. Today has got identical conditions so with that in mind, could run a big race. Better performances have came on the firm and the 1m/1m1f tried in the last 2 starts seem to much for him. This drop down in trip should help, enough to place? Hopefully! StuSimmy
Re: Best bet of the day Thurs 1st Oct 17.05 Goodwood Fazbee to win Horses first try at the mile trip, has won over 6f and 7f previously and ran a good 2nd LTO over 9 furlong, just faded close to home so the mile trip should suit her fine. cc75
Re: Best bet of the day Thurs 1st Oct Wolves 8.45: China Lily 0.5pt each way Godolphin send the one to Wolverhampton tonight and being one of their 2yo's it may be worth taking note. Showed very little on debut over 7f at Beverley when showing definite signs of greenness, however this surface should suit a lot better on pedigree, has a decent draw and looks overpriced at 12/1 given connections. skylark2009
Re: Best bet of the day Thurs 1st Oct 7.45 Wolverhampton Bahamian Lad 0.5 pts E/W He could be described as being a course specialist here at Wolverhampton, as all of his wins are here and all at today's distance too. His form at this distance here is 43171151. The jockey currently has 5 wins / 4 places from his last 20 rides. He's probably a little too high in the ratings as a consequence of his last win so I'll go E/W.
Samba_SamPa
Re: Best bet of the day Thurs 1st Oct 8.15 Wolverhampton - Ilie Nastase - win Raced 4 times on the all weather in France, which garnered 2 wins and a snk 2nd. Ran a decent race in 5th on Kempton's AW track back in July staying on over an 8f trip. Reverting back to an all weather surface tonight, should appreciate the near 10f trip. Simcock's got his runners in decent form, and Ilie can take the spoils tonight
