Re: Rugby League: Super League & Co-op Championship Play Offs Time to get stuck into the playoffs. I can't wait for this series. It's going to be a terrific set of matches. I can't be having Huddersfield being this big. 2 outrights for me. 1pt Huddersfield to win Super League Grand Final 14/1 VC Huddersfield finished 3rd in the regular season and did it with some stylish performances. They have an excellent defence and in the Hodgson's they have men who can go over the line. Their form all year has been impressive and they've finished 3rd while forming a successful cup run which only came unstuck in the final at Wembley. The Giants away form has been most impressive this season and that's a good thing given their key matches in this series will be away from home. Huddersfield showed in the cup that they can beat anyone over 80 minutes and this price is plain and simply ridiculous. At 14/1 I have to have an interest in the Giants here. 1pt ew D.Hodgson Top Playoffs Tryscorer 14/1 Skybet (1/4 1,2,3) David Hodgson was the 2nd highest try scorer in the weekly rounds and I see no reason why his form will desert him now. Only Ryan Hall beat Hodgson over 27 weeks and there's every chance that Hodgson will get an extra match to Hall in this series, although I wouldn't be surprised if Huddersfield were to beat Saints. If they do though, you'd think Hodgson will notch. Most sides in this competition will play 2 matches however a couple will play 3. Huddersfield could be one of those and 3 tries will be enough to place in this barring something silly. I think Hodgson can get those but if Huddersfield go mental in what would be their elimation playoff in a potential week 2 match then Hodgson can benefit and top the pile at his big price given his regular season record. 4pts Hull KR (+14) to beat Leeds Evs Boylesports I know Hull KR are missing a few players but this is a huge handicap to cover in playoff football. Hull KR still have quality in the likes of Dobson and Fox. Dobson in particular can change the game. Leeds will be full of confidence having topped the table and I think they'll win this game but I'm not sure they'll win it by 15 or more. Hull KR don't concede that many traditionally and I think they'll put some points on the board at some stage tonight. These two have met twice this season which resulted in 9 and 10pts wins for Leeds and I see a similar margin tonight. There is the chance Hull KR may target next week but they'll still give it a go tonight with the week off in sight and I'll take them to stay within 14 of the champions tonight.

Re: Rugby League: Super League & Co-op Championship Play Offs Having a stab at Wakey -4 @ evens. Turned over Cats in France a couple of weeks back 20-34, on top of their home victory 30-10 earlier in the season. On a decent run of 7 wins from last 8 games. Kear will have them primed for this, in what'll be a rousing atmosphere. Tryscorer prices a bit scabby, was after 4.00+ for Obst, but not to be. GL.

Re: Rugby League: Super League & Co-op Championship Play Offs Going for something a tad more risky than normal in the late game tonight. 3pts Catalans to beat Wakefield by 1-12pts 5/2 Stan James Danny Brough faced a fitness test for this match and even if he does play it doesn't sound like he'll be 100% fit and that will be key to this game. Catalans are a very solid side with some serious big game players in Adam Mogg, Casey McGuire, Thomas Bosc and Clint Greenshields. Brad Drew will return for the Wildcats who are in excellent form having won no less than 7 of their last 8 matches, one of which being in France 2 weeks ago. However Catalans bounced back to go to Saints and win when they had to last week and with a full squad to choose from I think they can win this. It's going to be a really close match either way, I can't see it being won by many but with a strong pack and some big name players in their side I'm going to go for Catalans to edge this by somewhere between 1-12pts.

Re: Rugby League: Super League & Co-op Championship Play Offs Better night for me last night. Felt a bit for Wakey, clearly missed Danny Brough. Not many play offs games are won easily but I think tonight's will be. 4pts Wigan (-8) to beat Castleford 10/11 Stan James Castleford have won 2 of their last 3 matches against Wigan and the two sides are 1-1 in their meetings this season but this is a different kettle of fish now we're in the playoffs. Experience is massive in the playoffs, as we saw a little bit last night and certainly saw on Friday night. Wigan have bucket loads of playoff experience whilst this is Castleford's 1st taste of the end of season bonanza. Sam Tompkins returns for Wigan tonight and he's a massive player against a defence who does concede plenty of points. Mark Riddell is back from compassionate leave for the Warriors too. Cas are at full strength aside from their skipper Ryan Hudson who is missing. It's normally not a good idea to back a side who got walloped last week but Cas struggled to get past Celtic for long periods. Wigan come alive at this stage of the season and I'll take them to win this by more than 8.

Re: Rugby League: Super League & Co-op Championship Play Offs Top shout on Catalans Kev :ok. I haven't had a bet up 'til now but I would have sided with the wrong team for every game on the h'cap so far :\. Castleford (+10) to beat Wigan @ 11/10 (bet365) 3/5 Haven't got much time to post but think this could be a close one. Bar spanking's at Saints and Leeds, Castleford have been one of the better sides away from home this season and I can see this going right down to the wire. Wigan have impressive play-off form but hopefully Cas' can make a game of it. Sportingbet are 10/11 +12 for those with an account. GL all :hope :ok
