4.50 Lingfield Bab al salam won his maiden round here in cosily style over 7f so no worry of surface then stepped up to mile for handicap debut on turf and won nicely raised 5lb for that effort and more improvement likely after looking slightly green in final stages and step up in trip doesnt look a problem neither. 1pt win bab al salam

Re: Best bet of the day 4th Sept 2:20 @ Lingfield - Wajanaat - 1pt win Going to tackle the first at Lingfield, in which a certain K Fallon is on the well backed favourite. Looking at the form to go on, the Fallon horse doesn't appeal much to me with two moderate runs and seemingly being sluggish on both occasions. I think most of the money coming for it is sentimental money, which is fine for me as I'm looking for a bit of value. Wajanaat is certainly well bred as half sister to Ghanaati (no introduction needed) and Nashwan. The trainer has had a few winners recently and R Hills as Jockey certainly inspires confidence that the pilot is good too. At 5/1 I'll take this all day long over 10/11 favourite. Gifted Apakay looks to be a star to watch in future, I'll be watching this horse with interest.
