Redcar 9/8/09

Recommended Posts

3.10 Redcar Royal Premium - has at least shown an ability to win unlike many of these and seems to have improved since being fitted with a visor. Generally a consistent sort at this level and goes in search of a double after winning at Haydock last time. Versatile going wise. 13/2 SJ, EW.

Re: Redcar 9/8/09 4.40 Redcar Wherlijig was well supported on his handicap debut last time out to suggest connections fancy him off this mark of 73 and although he disappointed on that occassion, the drop back in trip and this faster ground could see him in a better light. Trainer Alan Swinbank is one of the top trainers at the Teeside track and his runners always deserve a second look here. 16/1 SJ, EW.

Re: Redcar 9/8/09 3.10 Redcar A class 6 massive 3yr old handicap full of a load of crap basically but there is still 4 places up for grabs, lyric art has shown some promise until last time out with a decent enough 4th at mussel of a mark of 63 runs off 59 today and could have a shout 0.5pt e/w lyric art 12/1 hills bog 3.40 redcar Ingleby lady won in gritty style time before last off a mark of 77 then ran a good enough 3rd off todays mark on soft ground. step up in trip should be no problem with her winning her maiden over 6f and now back on faster ground 1pt win 7/4 bet365 bog 4.40 redcar Northside prince had been a consistent sort and showed promise until brought down at ayr last time out hopefully that hasnt effected him too much, fast ground should suit and is drawn extremely well here 0.5pt e/w northside prince 7/1 bet365 5.10 Redcar Just sam won in fairly neat style over course and distance last time out and seems to like it round here with both his wins coming round here and a 2nd aswell out of 5 runs, is 4lbs higher in handicap today but brennnan effectively takes 2lb of that off with his slightly higher claimer than the previous jockey. 0.5pt e/w just sam 8/1 bet365 bog

Re: Redcar 9/8/09 3.10 Jiggalong each way at 13-2. A poor race but this one struck form in a seller on her latest start when just failing to last out. I think she went for home early enough that day and that performance is on a par with the favourite who's best effort was on a much slower surface last time. Good jockey booking and a I think she'll go close with 4 places paid. 3.40 Ingleby Lady win at 7-4. This ones put up the best effort in this field the time before last over 5f at this course and ran well in softer conditions last time. Back up to 6f and I think this progressive filly should have too much speed for these as long as she doesn't take too much of a hold early on. 4.40 Tropical Blue win at 16-1. A couple of decent but ultimately disappointing southern raiders hold up the market in this. Whilst both have a good shout it's no better than Tropical Blue's Chester effort 3 outings ago. She didn't stay 14f the next time and had softer ground to contend with on her latest start where he ran ok in the first time visor. Back on firmer ground and with Joe Fanning booked this has a better chance than the odds suggest. Shame there's only 15 of them so only 3 places, therefore I'll go for the win. 5.10 Uace Mac each way at 16-1. Course winner of a maiden from a similar mark over 5f last year. Ran an improved race last time and stable hitting form. I expect all the pace to be in the low numbers and she should get a good tow here from stall 5. It's a very trappy race but worth a nibble at the price. K

Re: Redcar 9/8/09 3.10 A win bet on Irish trained SAOROCAIN stables only runner here has the 1st time visor on and Trotter Nicholls booked for the ride but i won't take anything less than 10/1 about it. 4.40 Two outsiders with e/w chances FLORA'S PRIDE 22/1 trained locally needs to improve but should do and BOLLIN DOLLY 28/1 not run for near two years but trainer capable of having it wright after long layoff. 5.10 ELKHORN WIN BET 10/1 PP loves it here and weighted to go well today and Tom Eaves back on top is a big plus.

Re: Redcar 9/8/09 dcar 14:10 - Kookie (Each-Way) @ 50/1 Sportingbet Just an outsider for me today in the first at Redcar, 3rd maiden for this filly and has not really done much in her two starts, was well beaten FTO, swloly away and never in touch, stepped up a furlong to 6f LTO at this track and she raced a bit better, again was slowly away but says she stayed on towards finish, on the basis that the step up again may bring some improvement and she gets out the stalls a bit better then she may cause an upset. Stable in a bit of form with 3 winners from there last 8 runners.

Re: Redcar 9/8/09 5.10 Redcar In the finale at Redcar I feel Micky Mac is overpriced. He looks drawn on the best side of this large field, in and amongst the pace, and is well handicapped on the pick of his form. Successful off 59 at Catterick last term, the gelding is 2 lbs lower now, and that is before Fredi Tylicki's 3 lb claim is taken into account. 40/1, EW.

Cheers Ted' date=' Nearly had a straight forecast up there too with the winner, but Micky Mac was just touched off into third!!![/quote'] We had the tricast picked between us then it paid over a grand :\....surely with all the brains in ATR there must be something we can come up with for low stakes that would hit the bookies for a big payout.
