2.20 Ascot Dunno - last ran in the Hunt cup at this track and was soundly beaten but prior to that had been in good heart this season and this race looks more winnable than the Hunt Cup. 4 lbs higher than latest win at Sandown and showed last September when placed here that he handles the track. 8/1 SJ, EW.

Re: Ascot (Shergar Cup) - 8th Aug 1.10 Ascot Slightly dubious one here, jimmy ryan hasnt been seen for nearly 4 years so fitness has to be taken on trust but is entered for a condition stakes later in the week so they obviously think he could be back, before he went on this long break he was in fine form having won off a mark of 88 and 2nd in a listed event, is now running back off mark of 88 and could be well treated on previous form. 0.5pt e/w jimmy ryan 14/1 stanjames bog 2.20 Ascot Tartan gigha has been a little disappointing since winning and epsom handicap off a mark of 88, has been running in some hot handicaps though off a mark of 94 is rated 93 today and this could prove a bit easier, any further drying out in ground will help is also given a great draw in stall 4. 0.25 pt e/w tartan gigha 18/1 (bet365 bog) 4.05 ascot Five star junior has racked up a four time all the all weather last winter and has ran in some trappy affairs on turf since and just finding a couple 2 good, but this is another race that could prove a bit easier, ran a nice 3rd last time out of todays mark his all weather running would suggest the ground should bother him too much 0.5pt e/w five star junior 7/1 (stanjames bog)
