I will be using Paddy Power as my reference this season, as I shut my bet365 account to avoid temptation on their Wall St slot machine! :$ With no stats to go on, but following my other rules, I made a shortlist of the following (in no particular order): QPR 8/11 Crystal Palace 10/11 Charlton 4/6 MK Dons 4/6 Oldham 4/5 Wrexham 8/13 Rushden 8/13 Northampton 8/11 Obviously there were others, which I ruled out for various reasons. Treble: Northampton 8/11 Can't see Macclesfield getting anything, they're usually poor away from home & Northampton have won their last 5 against them. Oldham 4/5 Oldham have a good manager in Dave Penney with lots of new signings, Stockport have signed nobody & Stockport have won at Boundary Park just once in 11 attempts over the past 50 years. Worse still Barrow are in the 7-fold to beat my beloved Ebbsfleet. Then again Ebbsfleet are ****ing poo this season. Using my own chosen minimum criteria on Paul's ratings, a shortlist would have been: 1 Arsenal (5) Birmingham City (14) 37.20 39 Dagenham & Redbridge (2) Bradford City (11) 23.71 3 Everton (10) Wolverhampton Wndrs (17) 20.71 52 Histon (14) Forest Green Rovers (21) 19.83 55 Stevenage Borough (2) Salisbury (15) 16.78 54 Rushden & Diamonds (11) Tamworth (12) 15.76 11 Blackpool (9) Plymouth Argyle (22) 11.28 36 Aldershot Town (6) Bury (12) 11.09 8 Blackburn Rovers (16) Burnley (9) -1.50 With Arsenal and Everton both too short for my system, that would have left Dagenham, Histon & Stevenage as a winning treble! Although this method doesnt give enough for 7-fold bet, there is always the option of factoring in Pauls other ratings in Europe, as my software can also cover those leagues - although i will need to work out a suitable criteria for what does or doesnt qualify for the 7-fold (for example, Blackburn have a negative rating on my ratings!) These the matches have been run through my software: 1Nottingham Forest (7) Barnsley (19) 16.472West Bromwich Albion (1) Swansea City (16) 17.063Stevenage Borough (2) Wrexham (16) 29.91 and have ratings that I deem acceptable for betting. All 3 home odds are above 1/2 & below evens with bet365. Looks like a treble bet to me. So from Paul's ratings the teams rating over 50 now have to have an advantage over their opponents of 15 or more. My software doesn't account for points dedudctions for administration. .....so it's back to a very, very simple method, based on current league positions and current home form of the home side vs current away form of the away side. I've opened this up to use the top 7 english league & 4 scottish leagues. Odds shown are bet365: although I will be shopping about for best odds, it is these odds that are used within the system.
