6.55 Haydock Military call could go extremely well if the ground stays fast after disappointing on softer ground last time out, prior to that won nicely at redcar on fast ground. is 6lb higher for that which might be slightly harsh but form is working out well 0.5pt e/w military call

Re: Haydock 7th Aug (eve) 8.00 Very competitive race here with every horse in with a shout. I'm siding with top weight Goliaths Boy who was highly regarded by Richard Fahey at the start of the year, but has failed to deliver so far. Has been racing in grade 2 races of late and has showed very little. Last 2 starts have been at 1m2f, so the drop down to a mile should suit. He came 4th of 8 in listed company at this trip last year, as well as placing twice and finally winning in his first 3 starts in maidens. Has dropped down considerably in the handicap and has a good chance to win here, having won on the 'good to soft' and is racing with weaker company compared to his last 4 starts.
