Ffos Las 21st July

Recommended Posts

3.30 FFos las True red looks to be a massive tissue price, was second behind Mahiki in a seller on the aw at southwell who went on to win in a handicap off a mark of 68, true red is only rated 56 and a claimer jockey claiming 7lb (not sure he can take anything off though??) Always runs well on good ground 0.5pt e/w true red 5.00 FFos las Ambrose princess is an interesting runner here has been impressive over hurdles recently and is rated 110 over them, only rated 54 on flat this is her first try over this trip and should suit well if converting hurdle efforts 0.5pt e/w ambrose princess 5.30 FFos las Paddy rielly yet to win on turf but is consistent sort dropped a 1lb after a disappointing try over 14f back down to 12f today where he has been running well 0.5pt e/w paddy rielly

Re: Ffos Las 21st July Well my first look at the new welsh track and well cannot put up anything with total confidence not knowing how the track rides or even how most of these are going to handle the course, so going in blind really. On the official ratings Dandy Nicholls Cape Vale has shown enough to be considered here. he managed to finish second to Red Cape on good to firm ground at Catterick 20 days ago over just shy of todays trip. pending if the ground is riding fast here he should handle most grounds and has won on soft and firm ground and i feel the handicapper has over looked a penalty here despite losing that catterick race by five lengths. Goldon Dixie is ten years old now but is probably off a good handicap mark to get really involved here, Ron Harris is represented by two others in this in Don Pele and Dressed to Dance. The Dixieland Band gelding ran one of the quickest times in this field over todays trip, but is not getting no younger, but the plus is the inform David Probert who claims a very handy 3lb. Ron Harris's other contender is Dressed to Dance, once trained by David Evans and was bought when winning a seller at Bath over just shy of todays distance, the first run for the new yard was in a claimer at Salisbury when finishing a long way back in fourth but that was over just short of 7f, he has won off this mark last year at Windsor over the 6f and if he is up with the pace he can make his presence felt as he has managed further in his career. But Cape Vale looks like he is going the right way slowly, but does have improvement only being four. CAPE VALE
