Re: Rugby League: Super League XIV Round 19 & Co-op Championships No probs Kev :ok. The books have had the better of it for the last few weeks now I think. This round looks very 'trappy' to me too so come Monday you may have been better off giving the rest of the round a miss! A few stats... Re: Rugby League: Super League XIV Round 19 & Co-op Championships One for me tonight Harlequins (+10) to beat Wigan @ Evs (bet365) 2/5 I expect Wigan to continue their good form tonight but this Harlequins outfit very rarely get turned over by a large margin. They come into tonight's match after a heart-breaking final minute loss away to Wakefield last week when Danny Brough converted Simon Grix's try right on the hooter. Prior to that loss however, they had stayed within the handicap in 4 out of their last 5 away fixtures and although still missing Rob Purdham tonight, I'm happy to take a chance on them staying within the 10 points. Wigan edged out Hull KR in an entertaining 36-28 win at Craven Park last Sunday night. From the bench, Sam Tomkins and Michael McIllorum seemed to make the difference and both will be pushing for starting berths with the returning Martin Gleeson tonight. Wigan have been a wholly inconsistent side this season with great performances followed by really poor ones (e.g winning vs. Saints at Murrayfield Magic and then losing to KR at home the week after, getting ahead of the -14 at home to Salford then capitulating at Celtic the next round etc.) and with that in mind I think it is worth a shot on this decent Quins side tonight. Bit of showery weather about the place in the North West tonight so hopefully that can aid Quins' chances in making this a close game. GL all :hope :ok

Re: Rugby League: Super League XIV Round 19 & Co-op Championships I'm right with you Lee. 3pts Quins (+10) to beat Wigan Evs Bet365 I'm very surprised Quins are getting such a big start here. While they are not the best side in the competition and are carrying a couple of injuries, they rarely get thrashed and in Howell, Gale and Sharp they have try scorers. Danny Orr has really come back to form in a Quins shirt and he'll want to dominate against his old club. Wigan themselves are far from consistent and they are carrying an injury or two. They don't beat teams out of sight at the minute and with the pressure and off the field problems they have currently I think even if they do win here they'll only do it by a score or so. 10pts is a lot to cover against a dangerous side in potentially tricky conditions and so I'll stick with the London side to stay within 10 of Wigan tonight.

Re: Rugby League: Super League XIV Round 19 & Co-op Championships I'm going against you boys tonight 3pts Wigan (-8) to bt Harlequins @ Blue Square - 10/11 As much as i was disappointed with Hull KR Last week i was equally impressed with Wigan especially the way they fought back from 0-10 down when after the week they had they could of just sunk without trace. This suggest that they are united in the camp which i had doubted. Wigan are missing Tim Smith tonight but hopefully this will mean a start for the exciting Youngster Sam Tomkins in the halves. Martin Gleeson returning should boost the right side attack of Wigan and hopefully he will see enough ball to create things. Quins come into this on the back of a last gasp defeat at wakefield last week but from the report i got they didnt try to play any rugby and were happy just completing there sets and 2 of there tries were off the back of errors. Chad Robinson returns tonight for them after a month out although this only offsets the loss of Jason Golden. Quins still missing there 2 main men in Luke Dorn and Rob Purdham and this is the main reason im going against them tonight. Wigan have won the last 3 between the sides and covered the 8 cap on 2 of those occasions. Wigan by 9 will keep us all happy :tongue2

3pts Wigan (-8) to bt Harlequins @ Blue Square - 10/11
Good shout COUH :ok. Would have been interesting to see without the sending off but Wigan were looking slightly the better side up to that point anyways; every chance that you didn't need it :(.

Re: Rugby League: Super League XIV Round 19 & Co-op Championships Cheers Guys, Im going to the KC tonight and i think it might be a low scoring affair Hull FC vs Leeds Rhinos - 48 Points or Under - 10/11 @ William Hill When the sides met earlier in the season at Headingley the game produced 62 points with Leeds 46-16 Winners. However on that night, Hull gifted the Rhinos 4 tries. I dont expect them to be quite so generous at Home tonight. Motu Tony joins Calderwood,Cusack, Dowes and Tom Briscoe on the sidelined for Hull so they lose a bit of strike power whilst Leeds are missing one of the best support players in the league tonight Brent Webb. In 18 games so far this season Hull have been involved in just 5 games that have gone over 48 points and at home not 1 game has gone over 48 points. Hull are impotent in attack and struggle to put points on the board. Yet normally they are fairly decent defensively. Hull have just announced another big name signing for Next year so hopefully there will be a good vibe around the Stadium to help the boys out and bring them home for victory. If not under 48 points will see me fairly happy

Re: Rugby League: Super League XIV Round 19 & Co-op Championships Unlucky COUH, don't think anyone would have foreseen Hull putting 30pts on the Rhinos. One for me this afternoon.

Wakefield (+10) to beat Huddersfield @ 10/11 (Ladbrokes) 2/5

Think the 10 points is a bit too large here. Having watched Wakefield at home to Hull a few weeks ago, I had initial thoughts they were quite a poor side :unsure. However, their win over Harlequins last week impressed me greatly and they look to have a decent side all said and done. Away from home, they’ve won more than they’ve lost when the handicapper has had his say and overall have 3 wins out of their last 4 games. Brad Drew looks to be the big doubt this afternoon with conflicting reports whether he will make it or not. Kevin Henderson, Kyle Bibb and Jay Pitts are also absent from the 19-man squad.

Huddersfield got back to winning ways last round with a comfortable 34-10 win away to Salford and with Saints loss to Salford on Friday, that looks like a decent line of form. However, at home they have only been ahead of the handicapper in 3 of their 8 fixtures so far and only 1 of the last 4 at the Galpharm. They seem to perform a lot better away from home (8 h’cap wins from 10) and come into today’s game with Paul Whatuira, Kevin Brown, Martin Aspinwall, Andy Raleigh and Danny Kirmond absent from the 19 man squad.

All in all, with Huddersfield’s apparent weaker home record, I’m taking a chance on Wakefield keeping within the 10 points this afternoon.

GL all :hope :ok

Re: Rugby League: Super League XIV Round 19 & Co-op Championships Rushed post above to get the bets on record. A 17 yr old full debutant opposite Tadulula, supported by a 2nd rower in Widders, filling in. Semi knows where the whitewash is and has crossed v's saints and leeds in last 2 games. Scored a hattrick at Cas earlier. He gets chances, just need him to hold on to one for the payout.

tadulula anytime try 1.80
Good shout Greenhoff :clap. Wakefield couldn't quite do it today, David Hodgson scoring with 11 minutes left to pull Huddersfield away.

Re: Rugby League: Super League XIV Round 19 & Co-op Championships Good shout with Tadulala Greenhoff and unlucky with the Wakey bet Lee. The Hull - Leeds bet i did was a puzzler for me, i did as much research as possible and was really confident i was gonna collect. I would still do exactly the same bet in the same circumstances !! Never Mind always next week:)
