1:40 - Best of the lot here seems to be Tucker's Law who stayed on nicely over a furlong shorter over this course last time out. Being upped in trip surely must suit and he does stand out above the rest. Firmer ground should also be in his favour. 2:15 - Difficult to oppose Crystal Gale in this. Kept on nicely during the debut run to land a place. Looks certain to improve on that. 2:45 - Elna Bright comes into this as favourite, but even though she is stepping dramatically down in class, a repeat run of her last two outings wold leave her vulnerable to some decent sorts. The main danger is Yellow Printer who should be more at home dropping back a furlong. Jake The Snake can't be ruled out with any confidence either. 3:20 - Poyle Meg hasn't been beaten by more than 3 lengths in any of its runs. The pick of the form would be finishing 8th behind Penny's Gift in the big Ascot sales race. A similar run today would surely win this. 3:55 - Aromatic seems to have more progression in the tank. Simply must be better than her current rating of 83. Will be very tough to beat. 4:30 - Very open race and very difficult to rule out any with confidence. Fly By Nelly is an obvious contender and King of Defence looks certain to be up there too, along with Cavendish Road, who should get over his last run here. But a chance is taken with Mr. Flannegan. He looked pretty dreadful in two handicap starts this season, but was then thrown into a claimer (not much of one to be honest) where he battled on nicely for second in behind the useful Danies Boy. His handicap mark has dropped 4lbs for this race, plus he still has Amy Baker aboard. She takes off another 7 and it puts him into a winnable area and is worth gambling with at a price on what looks like his ideal trip.

Re: Salisbury 09/06/09 yes.....i will agree with CRYSTAL GALE. once the penny dropped and in the clear,it stayed on in eyecatching fashion. although MR HANNON has fto runner in this,so monitering the market,watching how it goes to post,prelims,etc,etc maybe a prudent move.if the signs are negative for the HANNON runner then i will punt CRYSTAL GALE.
