punterbg
Re: staking does anyone know of a staking plan that makes a neutrally profitable system profitable? its a single stakes system. thanks The only plan that can fit your description is the Retirement Staking plan. But it only increases your profit when you have already shown profit on level stakes. And I'm not sure whether it would work for a football system... trevman
Re: staking try using a bank of units eg £200 / 10pts = £20pt when you reach a new balance high you divide that by the 10pts, say you win £20 new balance will be £220 / 10pts = £22pt, if you lose you keep level stakes until you reach a new high and then start compounding again

trevman
Re: staking what's the difference ? neutrally profitable, i'm guessing is breakeven
Samba_SamPa
Re: staking Is "neutrally profitable" MP speak for "break-even"? Surely to be any sort of profitable you're supposed to show a profit?
AJ
Re: staking If a system runs at breakeven I don't see any staking plan making it profitable without increasing risk to an unacceptable level like a martingdale
ScottyXS
Re: staking If a system runs at breakeven I don't see any staking plan making it profitable without increasing risk to an unacceptable level like a martingdale Martingaling is flawless, provided your starting bank reads ∞
slapdash
Re: staking If the individual bets are break-even (i.e., the expected net winnings are zero), then whatever staking system you use, however silly or sensible, your expected net winnings will be zero at any particular time. By choosing the staking system, you can affect how this average of zero winnings is made up (e.g., you can choose to have a large chance of a small profit at the expense of having a small chance of a large loss ... which is what Martingale does ... or to have a small chance of a large profit at the expense of having a large chance of a smaller loss ... which is what staking your whole bank on a 12-team accumulator does), but the average will always be zero. For example, there is no staking system that would give you more than a 50% chance of doubling your starting bank, and any staking system that gave you a 50% chance of doubling your starting bank would necessarily make you go bust the other 50% of the time. Kanga
Re: staking Agree with all that's been said above ... the only solution may be to back check the data and see if the system can be tweaked into a profit ... e.g are you getting the best odds possible ?
