BAM
42 runners at the GUKPT Newcastle today :( thats amazing!!! Last week in the normally sold out Gala/Coral tour there was 105 runners in Edinburgh :( When I play SnG online I can usually get 4-6 tables going now I stuggle to get 2 !!! I have a stack of unread magazines on my bedroom floor dating back to last year (teeing up inuendo non funnies) I must admit without added value I find it hard to drag my arse upstairs or down to the casino and at the moment there is nothing around. My apathy for poker is at an all time high (I've played twice this month). Am I imagining the death of the poker boom or is this happening? Samba_SamPa
Re: Is the crunch biting?? Do you not think that the standard of your play gives you added value? It must increase your equity in the tourney, and consequently decrease others'? At what stakes do you play SnGs? (if you don't mind answering)
avongirl
Re: Is the crunch biting?? I meant to post up before, but I couldn't find any promoted tourneys in the latest copy of IP. Don't ever remember there not being at least one freeroll or similar.

SteveO
Re: Is the crunch biting?? Wow that really is a hell of a difference. Perhaps the soft Southerners just can't be arsed to venture up North these days.

I have to say though that I much preferred InsidePoker when it was InsideEdge:lol
BAM
Re: Is the crunch biting?? Do you not think that the standard of your play gives you added value? It must increase your equity in the tourney, and consequently decrease others'? No not really and is it worth the effort in an MTT? As with any form of gambling one of the golden rules must be to seek out good value there are no value tournies anymore. Except the APAT's which are good value with GUK seats added live and online (but no one here seems to play them) STT levels doesn't matter but I have seen a drastic difference recently in traffic but I have a site where I have never deposited and I have built a healthy roll just playing STT's I may ship it to one of the biggies to continue but I may bok myself. Sir Puntalot
Re: Is the crunch biting?? There's definitely a lot of cutbacks going on across the whole industry, some which are incredible, considering who they are etc...... It'll all come back, just a waiting game...... spannerjago
Re: Is the crunch biting?? I've found that STT traffic has been spread out a lot now. You have normal STTs, short handed, turbo, super turbo, Double or nothing (normal and turbo) and multi table STTs (normal and turbo). Even on a Boss skin with 10k+ players you can be waiting for a while to fill a 10 seater STT.
