billy the punter Posted May 6, 2009 Share Posted May 6, 2009 The Cheshire Oaks is basically the world's richest maiden race. 2009 Perfect Truth - maiden (as was the runner-up) 2008 Sail - maiden 2006 Time On - maiden at two 2005 Alumini - maiden 2004 Hidden Hope - maiden Only one class horse has lined up in recent years, Light Shift. Only Henry Cecil goes to Chester for trials with his Derby/Oaks hopes. I don't know why more trainers don't to come with their Epsom hopes, or Lingfield come to that.
