PsychoDave
THE BRITISH MASTERS POKER TOUR sponsored by CORAL.CO.UK The British Masters Poker Tour One of the biggest disappointments of 2009 was the announcement that the Gala Casino’s British Poker Tour( GCBPT) was not going to take place this year. The eagerly awaited “peoples tour†was unfortunately not renewed in 2009 and left a big gap in the UK live poker schedule. The tour had been very popular with a player friendly structure and atmosphere. The good news is that a brand new live poker series has been unveiled. The British Masters Poker Tour sponsored by Coral.co.uk will be a 6 venue mini tour for season one, kicking off at The Maybury Casino in Edinburgh on May 15th before taking in 4 additional popular UK venues and culminating in the Grand Final at Harbourside Bristol in October. For full information of the tour and to check out all the dates and venues see www.britishmasterspokertour.co.uk Each venue will host two side Tournaments in addition to their centrepiece main event. The buy in at each event are to be set as a £200 one day event Freezeout on the Friday, a £500 Freezeout two day main event on the Saturday and a £100 one day event Freezeout on the Sunday. The blind structures will be player friendly and each main event will have £1000 added by the sponsor Coral.co.uk . This £200, £500, £100 structure should prove very attractive in the current live poker market and effectively fills the void left by the GCBPT. Players will also have plenty of opportunities to play online satellites and qualifiers for all the events at www.coralpoker.co.uk and www.galapoker.co.uk and www.eurobetpoker.com along with other live qualifiers throughout the country. Online qualifiers start immediately and are listed in the Tournament Lobby. This means the tour will appeal to all budgets, from grass roots players to seasoned UK professional players. The Masters Champion 2009 will be decided from the winner of each main event who will automatically qualify for a one table satellite. In addition the best overall player who hasn’t already qualified (highest money winner from all Tour events ) and the best online qualifier (points will be awarded for each event). Those 8 players will play off for a £10,000 sponsorship package for 2009. This equates to £16,000 added value put up by this year’s Tour sponsors, Coral.co.uk. This is great news for the live UK poker market with great venues, structures and a special atmosphere. www.thenutz.tv will be providing a full live stream of all tour events throughout the 2009 season. This will enable all your family and friends to not only watch all the action but to interact with all the players during each event. In addition the masters Tour will take this service to a whole new level....watch this space. Why not join us on this exciting new tour and put live UK poker back on the map.
