Re: Favourite Jockey

Following on from russ' favourite trainer thread...... Mine would be 1 Ryan Moore 2 George Baker 3 Johnny Murtagh
It will be easy to rhyme of all the usual suspects here, but a few 'alternative' ones I've followed for a few years, firstly, Neil Callan. I followed his column in the Glasgow Evening Times which sadly they've discontinued and find it a great way to understand their. Callan is technically sound and seems to give his beasts the best chance they can get which is all I can ask. His rate of placed efforts is pretty high, especially with his top stables. I like to follow Noel Fehily from the same rag, whilst Timmy Murphy and Martin Dwyer in the Racing Ahead paper have been very insightful, Dwyer's tips last season were almost on a par with this forum. Another one I absolutly love to bits is Graham Lee. Waiting for Ferdy's string to come good is frustrating but when they do you can fill your boots, and you know from their stable tours, interviews, etc., that Graham has a big say in things. Young James Reveley is superb, he's worth watching on any of Jim Goldie's, especially at Musselburgh, Haydock and Aintree.
