I have a dilemma: Last year I paid £160 for 30 race days at Newbury Racecourse in the Grandstand (tattersalls) enclosure. With no reciprocals. Worked out at £5.33 per day. This year they are not doing the Grandstand membership. So do I: A/. Pay £290 for full membership. 30 days at Newbury plus about 6 reciprocals I'd go to. Working out at £8.06 per day (including recips). B/. Pay £140 for Jumps only membership. 12 days plus (presumably) 6 recips. £7.78 per day. C/. Pay £210 for Flat only membership. 18 days plus (presumably) 6 recips. £8.75 per day. D/. Pay £189 for Weekends and Evenings. 15 days (presumably) 6 recips. £9 per day. E/. Tell them where to go. Pay £0 up front. And choose which days to go in to tattersalls. (I could go to 18 days racing for just under £290 or just do 10 meetings for around £180). Would I be cutting off my nose....? Thing is, I love going racing, not for the socialising, not particularly to bet either, just for the racing. But having paid out £282 for Goodwood, can I justify another £290 or whatever for Newbury? What do you think? (p.s. For anyone interested there is also an 18 - 25 year olds membership for £90 and dual memberships available). Ginge

Re: Newbury Membership Dilemma Excellant news. Newbury racecourse have just this week reconsidered and are now doing a Grandstand Membership for 2009 at £170 (£5.67 per race day). Saving me £120:nana Thankyou Newbury Racecourse:ok Ginge
