Skylancer 1:20 Musselburgh (BBOTD) First time blinkers last time out resulted in his best run over hurdles finishing 2 of 16 by a short head. Lifetime NH form is now 7342. Prior defeats were by 33, 3 1/2 and 6 1/2 lengths. Blinkers are on again for today. More experienced and improving makes him the selection over J Howard-Johnson's Red Moloney. Johnson is winless from 17 runners on their debut this year (2 from 24 since 2007) when jockey Denis O'Regan is on board. 1pt to win

Re: Best bet of the day 8/12/08 14-20 Musselburgh - Pakineo Des Pictons - E/W Highly regarded by connections though hasn't ran anywhere near his best yet this season; finishing 4th in his two starts. Should improve for his run lto and if he goes well he should be in with a good shout. Is yet to run on good/firm ground so will have to prove on that front. Certainly value there with 9/1 currently available which seems massive to me for a potentially very good hurdler. Currently 9/1 Available (Sporting Bet).
