Tote 10 to Follow - Jumps 2008/2009

This is only a couple of weeks away so I thought I'd start a thread where people can start putting in a few of their fancies: Albertas Run - Impressive winner of the Royal & Sun Alliance chase and should still be pretty progressive. Will be an intersting contender of the big races at 20f + this season. Forpadydeplasterer - I think he's going chasing this season and could pick up some decent races over in Ireland and if progressive enough could be a lively contender for the Arkle. Kasbah Bliss/Blazing Bailey - I've put these 2 in together as I think these will dominate the 3m Hurdle races and either of them will win the World Hurdle at Cheltenham. You can never rule Inglis Drever out but he isn't getting any younger and I think he'll be very lightly raced before having one more carck at the title. Kauto Star - With Denman off the scene till after Christmas this is the horse that they'll all have to try and emulate. Could still be as good as ever at 8 and a must for everyones lists. Punjabi - Ran a cracker at Cheltenham to finish 3rd to Katchit and then went on to beat sublimity next time out although he did more or less steal it form him. Should progress again this year in what is a tough division but I'll take a chance on him. Tidal Bay - Couldn't believe how this horse went off 6/1 at Cheltenham having only lost once all season and taht was as a result of a bad mistake at one of the fences. Usually a brilliant jumper and I can't remember a more impressive winner of the Arkle. Master Minded - Received and official rating of 186 for his win in the Champion Chase and when you consider Denmans's highest rating is 176 I that says it all. Again a must for everyones lists.

Re: Tote 10 to Follow - Jumps 2008/2009 Full details go on the site on 29th October but I've already received the list of horses through the post and picking 10 is really hard, my initial list was around 20 horses but I know many won't run until around Xmas or will peak at Cheltenham. I can confirm they are doing the 2 bonus horses like with the flat rather than transferring 2 out and 2 in. Competition starts on 14th November, as soon as the list of horses are up I'll start a competition thread. My initial list included: Noland Punjabi Sizing Europe Star De Mohaison Sublimity Tidal Bay Voy Por Ustedes Albertas Run Binocular Blazing Bailey Crack Away Jack Denman Franchoek Inglis Drever Kasbah Bliss Katchit Kauto Star Master Minded My Way De Solzen I think I might have to leave out a few of my old favourites this time, possibly Inglis Drever, Katchit, Voy Por Ustedes. I wanted to put Glencove Marina in if it was fit but it isn't on the list, top class horse that one. It gets harder every year with so many classy jumps horses around and all the bonus races at Cheltenham. Looking forward to this season and feel there will be some great finishes, the 3.15 at Aintree today was fantastic, Knowhere was hard ridden and looked well beaten, wonder what price it went in running?
