McCoy, Straw Bear, 21/10/08

The reason for this thread is because i was in a bar this afternoon watching the race and a few in there made comments on how McCoy rode Straw Bear claiming he didn't try and calling him a crook etc, Those are there views not mine and I just wondered what the view on here was. Shaking

Re: McCoy, Straw Bear, 21/10/08 Very patient ride by AP, but the final jump was too slow and that's what cost Straw Bear the win. The horse showed good jumping overall and will be far better next time. I am not the biggest Straw Bear fan and never will be, but there is a future for him over fences. Chasing should suit him better than hurdling. Nothing wrong with the ride. A good final jump and the win would have been his I would say.
