I'm prepared to gamble soon - the difference between 1st and 2nd justifies a risk or two....

I'm not getting at GaF, but I've often heard people saying similar things at certain points of a tournament, and I've never been exactly sure what they mean. Discuss.

Re: "I'm prepared to gamble" I think that what I meant by it was something like "I'm prepared to play more marginal positive ev situations that I otherwise may be prepared to fold in order to 'ladder up' " I'm more likely to take what I think are coin flip situations than when I'm not "gambling".
