bignedkelly Posted October 13, 2008 Share Posted October 13, 2008 i have been playing live on a friday night for 9 months or so now and am amazed at the amount of dodgy play i have wittnessed an old granny who must be 90 if shes a day - she acts all confused and continually makes mistakes - but EVERY mistake is in her favour - she was also caught at the circus casino on camera going round lifting peoples chips during the break !!!! she lulls people into feeling sorry for her and i admit to falling for her patter at first - i even threatened one guy who was giving her a hard time - but i have since witnessed her cheatin myself - poor old dear my arse!!! outcome - she was banned for a couple o weeks but played the pity card and is now back in - and only 2 weeks ago i caught her trying to pass off a couple brown 25 chips off as red 500 chips!!! another guy would volunteer to deal every week and had a special way of cutting the cards to get an ace to the top every time he was in the small blind - he was eventually caught rigging the cards so that first hand back after the break one guy got trips another had aces and he would land the flush. outcome - guy is now banned and prob too ashamed to show his face anyway as most the regulars were on to him theres is also a couple o guy who pretend to be drunk even after you have been sat next to him for the past 3 hours and hes still sipping that first pint - this annoys me probably cos they think you are daft enough to fall for it. anyway - what cons or cheats have you wittnessed or any dodgy moves i should watch for ???? I'm always wary of anyone who volunteers to deal and I always ask to rotate it in self dealt games and I will never play self dealing cash games. Even when you have a casino dealer you should ask for a new one on a regular basis (the casino should rotate them anyway as good practice) as there have been cases of collsuion between players and dealers. ubermonkey1 Posted October 13, 2008 Share Posted October 13, 2008 Re: cons and cheats - can you spot them??? easiest way of cheating is dealing off the bottom of the pack;) load the aces there and shuffle the top of the pack. drag one off on your turn,very hard to spot even under scrutiny. or add a bit of spice by loading them akak and give someone else kings. always make sure 1 shuffles(left of dealer),1 cuts (right of dealer)and 1 deals,stops all that sort of malarky:ok Quote Link to comment Share on other sites More sharing options...
