My thoughts on tonights Great Leighs card

These will be my horses that look interesting under tonights mark and the ones to concentrate on. 6.50 Desert Opal has ran some decent races in Class 4 & 5 company recently over G&D but has found it difficult to pick up a win, Now dropping back in class could mean an improvement of form his last G&D mark he won carrying 9-5 and is now carring that less his 3lbs claimer weight so should br there or there abouts. Monte Major has won 4 Class 6 races on G&D and on 3 of those occassions he has carried more than his weight now which has been 11-5 and has all the tools here to go well again. Rann Na Cille came 3rd here last time out carrying 5lbs more than 9 days ago, so looks to have a good chance as the handicapper has relented. 7.20 Wreningham has placed 2nd 3 times out of 6 on G&D and has risen by 2lbs on his best form and does have expierence on the AW. Red Amaryllis isnt the most straight forward as her form reads 020 on the AW over 6f her form on Kempton reads 00 so he may not of taken to the track would need to find a bit of improvement to beat the first mentioned. 7.50 This Maiden should be out of the top two depending on how Art Fund runs his debut. Florentia is 2lbs down on her 2nd at beverley and that form could see her pick up a well deserved win for Sir Mark Prescott. Brief Encounter looks to have more to do than Florentia on weight circumstances but Andrew Balding has a 50% Strike Rate on 2 Year Olds here so cannot be dismissed. 8.20 Blackmalkin would be a nice E/W bet and does unbelievabley at the price look interesting, Her Class 5 form reads 23 and her 2nd she carried 9-4 and is now 7lbs down on that weight. Hammer Of The Gods is another who has a chance and carried 9-9 in April in a Class 5 Handicap when coming 3rd so his weight wouldnt be a Problem. Cool Sands holds a 28% strike rate on G&D but would need to improve as he has gone up 4lbs under these terms. 8.50 Abydos has come down by 3lbs on his 2nd back in october 07 and could improve again at a nice E/W price. Sir Haydn form on G&D reads 221212174565 the turn of bad form came after a Year and a Half break so considering his early form was so good it could be only a matter of time before he comes back to form also has Probert on board who looks to be one for the future. 9.20 Circadian Rhythm will have to make a career best to win this and get a hat-trick of wins, he is now 4lbs up on his G&D win 9 days ago. Rosy Dawn form over G&D reads 1291 and is now weighted the same as his last win back in April.
