The standard at the tables I was at was pretty good, mostly very tight with hands rarely reaching 7th street until later on when the bringins and antes were high. The structure was identical to the one used in the WSOP. It was a very well run tourney imo, and most enjoyable. The dealers had been trained well and as far as I am aware, it all ran pretty smoothly, to say it was the first ever razz tourney to be held in the UK, never mind that particular casino. The worst part about playing live though, is seeing what other players have got, I got some terrible seat positions, 2 on my first table, 1 on the final table, so I basically had to almost kneel on my chair to see what ws being dealt at the far end of the table. I had hoped to do better, but got involved with the then chip leader early on the final table and gave him half my chips when I folded an 8 low on 7th, afterwards he said he had 7 low and I believed him with what cards were out, so after that it was a case of hanging on as I went from 3rd to short stack, I kid you not I then got to bring in 6 times in the next 10 hands, with the Kh and when I didnt bring in, the player on my right did. Anyway I managed to survive a few allins and ended up 4th, so fairly pleased with the cash,but would have liked to have got further, all in all I was playing for around 10 hours with no meal breaks, just 10 minutes every 3rd level. Also Ive got a new playing live strategy, its not having a pint until I reach the money, it worked on this day and then the day after when I took a NLHE tourney down in our local club - its the future :) Quote Link to comment Share on other sites More sharing options...
