Backing/Laying The Title

I've decided to see if I can make a profit by trying to take advantage of market moves in the Premiership Title market. I decided to give this a go after missing out on a great opportunity last season. Newcastle were backable at point @ 92.0, I decided to leave the bet, they later went on to be layable @ around 6.0. The basic idea is to back/lay teams when I feel the price is bigger/shorter than I will be able to lay/back at at a later date. To date there are 3 standing bets, the first placed at the start of the season and the other two struck tonight. Charlton Backed @ 1000 for £2 Liverpool Backed @ 25 for £20 Newcastle Backed @ 160 for £10 The bets are likely to be few and spaced out so thread wont be amazingly active but feel free to add any comments on this strategy.

Re: Backing/Laying The Title I think its definitely a strategy worth pursuing. I did it last season on a fairly small scale with moderate success. I think the key is not to dive in without careful consideration but to also be confident and bold enough to back when a team has had a couple of bad results and is seemingly out of it.
