Opinions re betting in-running?

Take this scenario. Minutes before the 5.35 ko on Saturday, Bradford are 3.15 to beat Millwall. I was tempted but decided against it. 20 minutes into the match and Millwall take the lead. Bradford’s price goes out to 8.00. And 5 minutes later, the go 2-0 down and at halftime their price is a whopping 66.00. My question is this. Which way do you perceive the potential bet you were thinking about at 5.35? Do you think A) Phew that was close, saved myself £x amount I would have staked or B) if I thought 3.15 was a fair price (or value to use another term), then surely 8.00 (and then again 66.00) is definitely value and I should take it. My initial thoughts to this kind of dilemma are, “great I’ve saved my stake moneyâ€. However, I’m leaning towards (B) as being the best answer now. After all, it’s still the same match between the same 2 teams, isn’t it? Or is it, because now one team has the lead? However, don’t let the fact that Bradford came good on Saturday cloud you’re judgement. I’m sure there are many other times when the team hasn’t come back to win. One that springs to mind is Real Madrid at Sevilla a couple of weeks ago. They were 1.80 at ko, promptly went 1-0 down thus lengthening their price (can’t remember exactly what to, about 2.50ish?). So are they now value? You would have thought so, but of course we all know they lost 4-1 in the end. Just wondering how you guys think in this situation? (And well done to the guy who backed it at 8.00 and got me thinking about this - you know who you are! ;) )

Re: Opinions re betting in-running? You have to judge each situation on its merits Hodgey- once a team is 2-0 up its no longer the same game you were going to bet on. You have to re-assess the situation and decide what chance each thing has of happening NOW. Just because something WAS value then it doesnt mean it will be value throughout the match (eg. you were going to back a team @ Evs, they go 1-0 down and are available @ 6/4)- just because it is the same team with longer odds doesnt mean it is value. The possesion stats would also affect the odds etc.
