Guest bcrazy Posted August 7, 2003 Share Posted August 7, 2003 Working much on the same basis as last season but this season I think I will scrap the progressive staking and instead I will stake enough to win 1.5 units from each bet as long as this needs no more than a 15 units stake (could be quite risky but I'm confident after last season). Only Celtic and Rangers are going to be included in the system right from the start but other European teams could soon be included after 4 or 5 games. This system and my HT/FT system is getting combined so I'm just reposting last weekends picks and the systems reasoning in here. After the first few weeks of the last 2 seasons I've seen a topic pop up asking if there is value in backing home/draw or away/draw @ 16/1. This is because it seems to happen so much at the start of the season and the bookies have still not changed their prices to react to this. After doing some research over the past 2 seasons it seems there is indeed value backing home/draw @ 16/1 for the first 5 weeks as 9 or 10 of the games (poor calculations so I'm not sure which) out of the 100 over the past 2 seasons had the home team leading at half time and the match ending in a draw. Admittedly in is a small sample size but it took a lot of time going through scoccerbase and I couldn't be bothered doing any more. Once I join Joe's site though, which I promise I will sometime, I will add more stats (hopefully supporting my idea). It wasnt using Interwetten's odds I was worried about- it was changing from the odds previously posted. For when 2 or more of the teams play at home I think Ill still just play single because although it would increase the yield playing accys I wouldnt quite know how to go about it using the current staking plan.
