Goals over - Something to think about

Anybody noticed how the number of goals has gone up in the last 2 weeks, despite difficult weather conditions for goals, ice and rain in Britain? I would have thought betting on overs would be profitable over the period. This begs the question on if it is just a statistical blip or is the 2.6 goal average under uptrend for British games. I have a gut feeling there may be a definite uptrend, because of a change in interpretation of the offside rule in favour of forwards. Some statistical analysis would be great, comparing the last 10 (31-7Feb) year blocks for average goal per game the see if 2004 is higher.

agree with you Check beto.com for previous seasons games under percentage ,almost always over 50%. But this season the games 3 or over are 52.32% already. I have a graph from a Kevin Pullein article which shows that feb,March, april are the lowest months and May is the highest of all. So looks like the overs could get up to 53 or 54 this season. I wonder have the spread and bookies noticed this already? A time for buying i think
