Amber Queen 8.35 Haydock (WIN) Debut race worked out well with numerous winners then followed up with an impressive win at York on very soft ground over 7f. Extra furlong should be fine and ground expected to be soft tomorrow. I noted this as one to follow after that race and expected it to possibly turn out in a better race than this class 4 affair. Further improvement likely and will be hard to beat under these circumstances. Racing Post tissue SP is 6-4, it'll be more likely odds on. Anything around evens will interest me.

Re: Best Bet Of The Day - 08/08/08 2.10 Lingfield Cormorant Wharf 0.5 E/W Was second here around this time last year over 11f. Ran well that day off a mark of 69. Today he returns here 1f less and 4lb less. Was well beaten by Merrymadcap LTO but that was only his second run this season and on soft ground, he will be fitter for that run. Merrymadcap also campaigns at less than 10f. The selection seems to prefer 10f+. He doesn't win very often but has placed quite a few times. Today may be his day. Plus he's 8 years old and todays date is 08/08/08, it's a sign I tell theeeee! :) GL
