Question on dealing

We was at Eric and Jackies on Friday when this situtation arose,what should be the correct way to do this please 4 of us left in from the dealer which was me to Benn (small Blind) Eric (Big Blind) Eric knocks out Benn with his hand. So now Eric would deal but he cannot because he is the small blind, Now would i be right and said that i should deal again and Eric is small blind and Al the big Blind then the dealing goes to Eric and we should proceed like that. I think we confused matters a little as drinks were involved;)

Re: Question on dealing It would be a dead button which means Button would be in Ubers now empty seat, so Kev, you would deal again Eric would be small blind and Al the Big Spot on mate
