I've been a bit disappointed to be 0 from 2 this week in 2 y.o. races ... I know they are unpredictable but generally I like to think I can spot a likely improver. Today, I'm going to LAY Acquiesced in the 2:10 @ Ascot - another 2 y.o. maiden. It ran 22 days ago and came a close 2nd, just hanging at the end which probably cost it 1st place. It was an ordinary maiden race and the winner has since been turned over at odds-on in a class 5 2 y.o. race (this is a class 3). The stalls are in the centre of the course, so its unlikely it will be able to pick up the rail to keep a true line. Of course, if it has learned from its last run it could well romp home here, but I'm going to go with it getting turned over, there are a few promising debutants out today and I don't think it will have things it own way. :hope
