OK, another system to grace the PL, this time with my strategy revealed ! :loon I have done some backtesting using Joes Tennis-Data and have found that the following has produced about a 7% yield for the ATP... If the bookies make the LOWER ranked player the favourite :- The number of times the bookmakers favourite lost = 307 (34.4% of the time) The number of times the bookmakers favourite won= 585 (65.6% of the time) The average odds for these games was 1.63 (only using 4 bookmakers!) So for this system we back the (albeit lower ranked) favourite at the best odds.
